- Glass Clean glass is appreciated throughout the recycling process. Completely remove collars from wine bottles when you open them. This must be done by someone to keep the collar metals from contaminating reprocessed glass.
- Plastics Even though they are marked #1, clear food containers are not recyclable in Teton County.
- Paper Most paper packaging cannot be recycled at IPHA. The exceptions are magazines, catalogs, office pack and corrugated cardboard. Place flattened (please...!) corrugated cardboard in the blue bin in the trash shed.
- Metal Aluminum and steel cans, rinsed and flattened if possible.
- Odors Since recyclables are unbagged, they tend to create odors. Please wash or rinse potentially objectionable items. Milk and beer containers take the prize.
- Food Waste Do not leave food waste in the recycle shed.
- Respect Respect the workers who deal with both our trash and recyling by helping to keep the facilities clean and in order.
